Help ensure all students start the virtual school year with the supplies and resources necessary to thrive

Every student deserves a full and equitable education. To ensure every household has the supplies and resources our local scholars need, we’re asking community partners and donors like you to make a gift now!

Donations to the MMSD & MSCR Community Resource Funds will leverage the Foundation’s school supply program (Teachers PETS) to purchase supply kits for up to 10,000 students. Your gifts will help deliver everything from pencils, notebooks and headphones to those scholars most in need.

A Team Response: Gratitude and Support for Our Schools
Across the district, parents, partners and PTOs have teamed up to do and to say even more in support of our public schools these days. For some feel-good news, check out the videos, below!

COVID-19 relief efforts by Adopt-a-School and other community partners.

We are already making a positive impact!

Because of YOU, our efforts to support our public schools responsively are WORKING! Here’s how:

YOU make the difference!

Delivering Academic Materials
The pressing need i
n March was to get academic materials in the hands of students as schools closed after spring break. We partnered quickly with MMSD to raise $15,000 of the funds necessary to cover costs to produce, package and deliver enrichment materials to 19,000 K-8 scholars throughout the district

Reliable, Equitable WIFI Connections
As schools remain closed for the year, scholars need reliable, affordable access to the internet for distance learning. Superintendent Jane Belmore has asked us to partner with her to raise $100,000 toward costs to bridge gaps in access. These funds will allow MMSD to purchase hotspots for families in need and place long-range wifi antennae on select school buildings. So far, we have worked together to raise $46,616 toward this goal.

In a time that is challenging for our community and its nonprofit organizations, it is the generous support of our responsive funds by donors like YOU that allows us to help. Because of YOU, we are able to better connect our scholars across Madison and reduce obstacles to distance learning. Thank you for your support – let’s keep working together to meet these goals!
